COCA COLA – Pan Africa.

mixed race – I have spoken to production about this – WE DO WANT 100%
AFRICAN – NOT mixed race/NOT West Indian etc OBVIOUSLY THE SKIN TONE IS NOT
AS LIGHT AS THE PICS- they cannot be overweight as this is Coca Cola and
they need good teeth. There is script for the children so need great young
actors. PLEASE SUGGEST BY LUNCHTIME TODAY MONDAY 27TH – I have taken off the
pics as I think they are misleading.
PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR SUGGESTIONS MUST BE 100% AFRICAN (NOT Caribbean,
African American etc)

I am looking for 100% African mum and a 13yr old boy
and a 13 yr old girl. They MUST be African – as the market is Pan Africa.
The tone of the spot is very natural, innocent and sincere.

Our protagonists are thirteen year olds caught in
the moment of planning to do something new, eager to try something for
themselves and finally deciding to do it. The idea is to make a short story
that emphasizes on the emotions our protagonists go through in the short
period of time from when they conceive their plan and finally decide to do
it.

Please suggest by end of today or by lunchtime on
Saturday 25th as I will be looking over the weekend – if you cannot suggest
till Mon 27th please ensure you suggest by noon

Seeking:

AFRICAN GIRL: Turning thirteen means becoming a teen-agers, a time
when you’re still a kid but you starts to feel less like one. It is a time
of self-discovery, of defying and trying things that are “forbidden” by our
elders but it’s also a time of innocence and this is something that I
consider very important in our story. I would like for our protagonist to be
in this age of transition, were you stop being a child but still maintain
the innocence, ignorance, tenderness and sweetness of a child. This is
fundamental for our story because it will create an emotional build up to
deciding to drink Coke for the first time without permission.

I believe that innocence is immediately lost in
adolescence, for this reason our protagonist must be in their per-teens to
portray the touch of Innocence, fundamental for our story’s evolution.

A daring thirteen-year-old girl, with the energy to
discover new things.

A girl who has no problem with crossing the limit of
the prohibited, she’s a responsible girl but with a brave and curious
attitude. She will be the engine of history, the leader of the adventure,
the one that proposed and gets thing done.

Being the same age as the boy, we will notice she’s
a bit more mature, being less fearful and mischievous. She is smart, funny
and seductive.

We start our film with a simple dialogue between our
2 protagonist children.

Despite being a simple dialogue, it’s a dialogue
full of nuances and of double meaning.

The girl insinuates to the boy: “do you want to try
something for the first time”, she encourages him and tells him he’s going
like. It’s an innocent game of “seduction” where: she “seduces” him and he
let himself be “seduced”.

The double meaning in the dialogue is fundamental
for development of the story and it also gives it a funny touch. Something
that we will show through their subtle gestures and looks, for example, by
not only focusing on the speaker’s gestures but also by the listener’s
movements and reactions. Again innocence will be the most important thing in
this first scene. SO WE NEED GOOD GIRL ACTORS

SHE NEEDS TO LOOK 13 – i don’t mind if she is 12 or
14 but needs to look 13

The boy is also thirteen years old; although both
are the same age the boy will seem more immature and innocent (girls usually
develop and mature faster than boys). The boy is shier than the girl and
likes to do things the “politically correct” way following his parent’s
rules. Nonetheless he’s an intelligent and curious boy with a unique feel
who also want to try new things. Unlike the girl’s daring and impulsive ways
the boy’s attitude is brave but in a quieter and more responsible manner.
