HEAD CHEF: (Hero) (Male) HEAD-CHEF (HERO): WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF: CHINESE. Charismatic and characteristic man (40-55). Has a bit of strict,
authoritarian facial expression when he first enters the kitchen, but then cracks into a warm, playful smile when he interacts with his sous chefs. Important: Good, subtle facial expressions (switch from serious to playful)
3 SOUS CHEFS: (Featured Extras) (Male or female) 3 SOUS CHEFS (FEATURED EXTRAS): WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF : ASIAN, AFRICAN / MEDITERRANEAN / CAUCASIAN. Male & female (20-35). Could be a diverse group (for example: 2 younger/1 slightly older, 2 male/1 female). All of the actors should be handy with a kitchen knife so their work looks convincing. Just like the head chef they should be able to switch facial expressions from concentrated professionalism to a moment of fun, spontaneous banter.
HEAD WAITER: (Hero) (Male) WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF: MEDITERRANEAN / CAUCASIAN / PAN-ASIAN Distinguished looking male (30 – 40) Confident and experienced. Must be able to carry a tray with fluidity, poise and grace! Preferably someone who doesn’t have a classic dancer’s physique but still moves with effortless elegance. Facial expressions and a warm smile are very important. Looking for the perfect balance between regal elegance and down to earth playfulness.
DOORMAN: (Hero) (Male) WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF: CAUCASIAN OR MEDITERRANEAN / LATIN. Male (30 – 50) This is our lead character: Someone who perfectly embodies the playful and positive attitude of the “Treatment”. A memorable, charismatic face, animated performance, subtle comedic timing and a warm, authentic smile are paramount! Also should be a “kid’s person” who effortlessly interacts with children. Something about this character has a “magical” feel – the swagger in his step, the way he lets the paper dinosaur appear behind the girl’s ear (Think: A young Roberto Benigni). He should leave the audience thinking: who is this guy? And where can I meet him?
CONCIERGE: Concierge (Hero or Featured Extra) (Female) WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF: PAN-ASIAN OR MIDDLE-EASTERN. Distinguished lady (30 -50). Radiates charisma and distinguished confidence like someone who has been in the luxury hotel business for years. Facial expression is important: A subtle glance between the hero and the doorman implies that they’re old friends “in the know”.
2 POOL MEN: (1 Hero, 1 Featured Extra) (Male) WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF: MEDITERRANEAN, ASIAN OR AFRICAN (OR A MIX). Young men (20-30). Could be Mediterranean, Asian or African (or a mix). Maybe one is slightly older than the other and shows him the ropes. Both should be nimble and agile and have good body awareness, as well as a range of subtle facial expressions: concentration, surprise, joking banter between friends.
2 MAIDS: (Female) WE ARE PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN SEEING A LARGER PROPORTION OF: MEDITERRANEAN, CAUCASIAN, PAN-ASIAN (OR MIX). Looking for two warm, friendly women .One might be younger (25-35), the other slightly older (35-45). Warm, welcoming smiles and sense of rhythm and dance skills (non-professional) might be helpful.
